Overview
The Wireline Special Services Business Unit at Tucker Energy Services delivers specialised downhole diagnostics, pyrotechnic operations and completion-critical interventions designed to solve complex well challenges across the full well lifecycle. Our services are engineered to support operators in high-risk, high-value environments where precision, reliability and flexibility are essential.
By leveraging multiple conveyance methods, including slickline, electric line (e-line), coiled tubing and jointed pipe, we provide tailored solutions that adapt to well geometry, deviation, pressure regimes and operational constraints. This multi-conveyance capability ensures maximum operational efficiency and execution certainty in both conventional and highly deviated wells.

Our services
Specialised logging & diagnostic services
Our advanced logging and diagnostic technologies provide operators with high-resolution insight into well condition, integrity and production performance. Services include multifinger caliper and magnetic thickness measurements for casing evaluation, ultrasonic leak detection logging for barrier verification, and array production logging to identify inflow profiles and diagnose production anomalies. Memory gravel pack logging and downhole camera services further enhance post-completion and remedial decision-making.
We also offer a fully convertible individual logging tool service, supported by a complete catalogue of logging tools, enabling rapid configuration of fit-for-purpose logging strings to meet evolving well objectives.
Pyrotechnic & memory-controlled operations
Wireline Special Services provides a comprehensive suite of memory-controlled and pyrotechnic operations designed for safe, precise execution in critical well environments. These include BHP and high-speed perforating gauge services, memory fire control for plugs, packers, perforation and pipe recovery, as well as memory-controlled dump bailer services for cement, acid and brine placement. All operations are executed with rigorous safety protocols and strict quality controls.
Completion, isolation & well integrity solutions
Our completion and isolation capabilities support both planned operations and emergent well integrity challenges. Services include V-0 retrievable bridge plugs, straddle systems, casing patch installation and high-expansion gauge hanger services. For complex trajectories, we deploy high-deviation rollerized strings capable of operating in wells exceeding 80 degrees inclination.
In collaboration with strategic technology partners, we also deliver advanced downhole annular barrier systems for well integrity restoration and water shutoff applications, as well as fibre-optic and wireless smart completion products that enable enhanced monitoring and long-term reservoir management.
Every Wireline Special Services job is planned and executed under our HSE management system, with job safety analysis, competent crews and certified equipment.
