Total Commitment - We recognize that Management Commitment to improving HSE performance is essential. We require our Managers and Supervisors to be visibly committed to improving HSE wherever they have control. We will hold them accountable for their contribution to meeting the Company's HSE Goals.
Evaluating Risk - Evaluating risk is essential to all our operations. We will have in place effective methods, utilized by competent people, to identify, evaluate and control risk wherever we operate.
Safe Work Procedures - We recognize the importance of setting safe work procedures for all routine and non-routine tasks. We are especially aware of the significant differences in risk levels of exposure during normal operations and those when non-routine operations or maintenance are being carried out. We will have in place adequate safe work procedures that are formally identified to the workforce for all tasks that they are asked to perform.
Importance of People - The importance of people to our organization is paramount. We will have effective recruitment, retention and competence assessment programs in place that are regularly reviewed for their effectiveness. We also recognize the need for consistent positive behavior and we will promote this in our people.
Suitable Emergency Response - Emergency Response plans for all locations and facilities we control will be developed, regularly reviewed and updated as necessary. We will work with our Clients and others to ensure all emergency response issues relating to our people are properly addressed and they have been adequately informed about them.
Successful Communications - We recognize that accurate communications have an important role in Management of HSE. This has special significance where un-planned changes in operations occur. We will develop and continuously improve our methods for delivering accurate information using standard documentation where possible. We will pay particular attention to the way in which we manage change in our operations.
Accident & Incident Investigation - All accidents and incidents, including near misses, are seen as learning opportunities. We require all accidents and incidents to be fully investigated to identify root causes and for thorough follow up of reports to ensure that corrective actions are in place and remain effective.
Flexible Integration with other - We accept that many of our operations will involve working with clients, contractors or others and that we may not always control the worksite. We will retain flexibility within our HSE Management System to enable us to accept other organizational standards where they meet or exceed our own standards.
Evaluating Performance - Performance evaluation of HSE Management is seen as a continual process bringing benefits to the Group by identifying effective and ineffective systems and procedures. We will have in place a formal program of both audit and self-assessment designed to ensure our HSE Management System remains effective. We will publish our findings of these evaluations and follow through to completion of all corrective actions accepted.
